GEIOS Technologies Clarifies Strategic Focus as DoD Announces Geothermal Contract Awardables
March 29, 2025 – Miami, FL — GEIOS Technologies, the U.S.-based founding innovator of Enhanced Quantum Geothermal (EQG) energy, has released a statement in response to the recent announcement by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) regarding prequalified companies for upcoming geothermal contracts.
While GEIOS fully and strongly supports the DoD’s clean energy ambitions, GEIOS did not submit a bid or application for this initiative, as the company is currently dedicating its full technical, operational, and financial capacity to the execution of a landmark 600 MW baseload geothermal project secured under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in Southeast Asia.
“Our strategic focus right now is absolute,” said Shad Abdelmoumen Serroune, CEO of GEIOS Technologies. “We are deploying one of the most advanced and scalable geothermal systems in the world, and that requires total commitment. While we applaud the DoD’s support for geothermal innovation, we’ve made the decision to prioritize prioritize real-world deployment and execution over expansion at this stage.”
As the founder of the EQG platform, GEIOS is redefining the geothermal landscape through a unique fusion of AI-driven subsurface modeling and next-generation nanotechnology. At the heart of its system are proprietary innovations developed with Nanogeios, the company’s award-winning R&D lab specialized in applied energy nanotechnology and a recognized research division in applied energy nanoscience.
The EQG system integrates:
Geo-Nanocasing™ for high-efficiency thermal transfer and well stabilization
Multi-Well Infrastructure enabling scalable field deployment with optimized drilling architecture
Nanovault™ Heat Exchangers for compact, high-capacity energy conversion
Ionanofluid Thermal Systems, enhancing heat extraction at nanoscale interfaces
GEIOS technologies are deployed through low-footprint, multi-head well architectures, significantly reducing surface impact while achieving exceptional heat yields. Each cluster can generate up to 50 MW of continuous baseload power, making the EQG system one of the most compact and powerful geothermal solutions available today.
“Our architecture is designed not only for performance, but for practicality and speed of deployment,” added Serroune. “With EQG, we’re unlocking high-output geothermal in ways previously thought impossible — and we’re doing it sustainably, with nanotech-enabled systems that drive down cost and footprint.”
GEIOS congratulates the companies listed by the DoD as awardable and looks forward to potential collaboration with U.S. agencies in future development phases. With U.S. domestic expansion planned post-2025, GEIOS remains open to federal partnerships aligned with its commercial and technological roadmap.
